Tobacco Control Programs

 

Reality Check:

Reality Check is a Youth Action Program.  It is a movement of 13-18 year olds in New York State that seek to de-glamorize and de-normalize tobacco use and expose the manipulative, deceptive marketing practices of the tobacco industry.  Reality Check youth advocate through media, community events and work with decision makers to obtain tobacco control policies and resolutions.

 In March, members of Reality Check (RC), a youth action movement dedicated to exposing the manipulative and deceptive marketing tactics of the Tobacco Industry, recently traveled to Albany for Reality Check's Youth Advocate of the Year Awards (YAYA) dinner.  Attending were John Exford, Reality Check Coordinator; Michele Capone, Assistant; Karrie McCullouch, Assistant; Tyler Stevenson, RC Youth from Carthage; Dakota Twombly, RC Youth from Carthage and Brandon Delano, RC Youth from South Lewis.
